What are the benefits of becoming a SEMM (Lead) Appraiser?

SEMM appraisers fall into two categories: Appraiser and Lead Appraiser.

Benefits for SEMM Appraisers:

  • Participate as team members in official SEMM Appraisal and accumulate valuable assessment experience.
  • Independently organize an informal SEMM Appraisal.

Additional Benefits for SEMM Lead Appraisers:

  • Lead and conduct official SEMM Appraisal.
  • Become qualified as certified SEMM trainers.

Who can become a SEMM Appraiser?

Individuals who meet any of the following criteria are eligible to apply:

  • Hold advanced Agile certifications such as CST, SPC, or PST.
  • Possess certifications as assessors or auditors from frameworks like CMMI, TMMi, or ISO standards.
  • Have proven experience as digital transformation coaches or senior Agile coaches (supporting evidence of experience required).

How to become a SEMM (Lead) Appraiser?

Step-by-step process:

  1. Apply as an Appraiser:
    Submit an application form along with evidence of required qualifications.
  2. Committee Review:
    Your application will be reviewed by the Scrum Enterprise Committee.
  3. Training and Examination:
    Upon approval, complete mandatory appraiser training and pass the certification exam.
  4. Become a Certified Appraiser:
    After passing the exam, receive official certification as an authorized SEMM Appraiser.
  5. Gain Experience:
    Participate in at least two official SEMM Appraisal to accumulate practical experience.
  6. Apply as Lead Appraiser:
    After gaining sufficient experience, submit your application to become a SEMM Lead Appraiser for Scrum Enterprise Committee approval.
  7. Final Approval and Certification:
    Upon approval, you will be recognized as an authorized Lead Appraiser and listed on the Scrum Enterprise official website.
  8. Lead Appraisal Independently:
    SEMM Lead Appraisers have the authority to independently organize and conduct official Appraisal.
